NGC 2217 is another faint galaxy in the distance beyond Canis Major, and it also requires larger telescopes and dark skies. With a brighter center than 2207, and a central bar-shaped condensation to boot, 2217 gets the designation SBa - the overall magnitude is 12.0, a shade brighter than 2207, but the apparent size is larger too (4 by 3 arc minutes), spreading the light over a larger area.

The partial ring of stars surrounding the galaxy, composed of bluish stars that define spiral arms of better behaved systems, are obvious in photographs but visually are indistinct - your telescope will show a faint round glow, with only the largest instruments hinting at the "bar and ring" structure you see here.
