The standard Kenko tracker's electronics and mechanical system does excellent open-loop sidereal tracking. However, for some situations such as shooting close to the horizon where refraction effects may affect tracking, the ability to correct the tracking is important.

The standard Kenko tracker includes a two-button hand control which allows manual correction of tracking. This cable can be extended by using common extension cables with 3.5mm 3-conductor stereo connectors.

The Kenko's RA correction input may also be used with an autoguider using the KD-2 cable adapter (shown at right with autoguider camera) which allows for the connection of an autoguider with isolated outputs. The adapter input is an SBIG/Losmandy type (6-pin telephone) connector.

For full two-axis correction, the KD-1 dec axis motor kit (left) is available. This provides a dec motor, SBIG/Losmandy type two-axis autoguider inputs, and upgrades the Kenko tracker to operate off 12-volt DC power which is more commonly used with autoguiders. The Installation/Operation manual is available online in PDF format.
