This 1575-Watt line intertie system in Orange, CA was designed to make use of the shade provided by the solar panels as well as to generate power. The system was featured in the February/March 1995 issue of Home Power magazine.

Above, panels are shown in the summer position.
 

At right, the solar patio panel underside detail is shown. Note the optional owl which guards against "fowling" of solar panels.
